Trials that lead to kisses from God

I saw a deserted and lonely place with a mountain made entirely of giant boulders, without a single piece of vegetation. I had an overwhelming feeling of desolation and hopelessness. Then water began flowing and gushing from a rock, not from between the rocks from a crack, but it was as if the rock itself began weeping out water.

We see God’s kindness easiest during a time of trial. Trials that lead to kisses from God.
When we are desperate and water comes from a hard place, the miracle is more felt than when we receive a gift during a time of abundance. When we have everything, we think we need, we have a tendency to overlook the goodness of God.
It’s amazing when God shows up when we are in a desperate place that we have no solution for, and He overflows His goodness on us in ways we never would have imagined. These are our places of great testimony.
If you are in a desolate time, begin to praise now for what God will do. Our faith and praise from that faith are the only things we can give Him, on this side of eternity. When we get to heaven, our faith will be sight.
Give Him praise now.
Even during times of trials.
Especially during times of trials.
One word lifted to Him in praise is like a symphony to His heart.
The redemption of hard things is beautiful; from desolate things he can produce life-giving results. These kisses from God are not just for ourselves, but for generations to come.
“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38 ESV)
The living water He pours from us is so that we might give to His other children and to those who haven’t met Him yet.
“Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” (John 7:39 ESV)
Now that we have received the Holy Spirit, He empowers us to give sacrificially to others as well. The kindness we give to others displays the type of kindness He says will draw people to Him.
Any gift from God is greater than what we see at first glance.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (James 1:17 ESV).
When He gives us a gift, we should ask for what His plan is concerning it, because His wisdom is far greater than our own.
Prayer for you and me: Lord help us to not get stuck in feelings of hopelessness and worry, but praise for the redemption that will come from it so that we might receive not only blessings for ourselves, but for future generations, thank you God that you can redeem all things that your generosity reaches the heavens, and that your kindness draws us to you continue to draw our unsaved friends and family to you so they might receive your salvation
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
