Let Your Light Shine!

Let Your Light Shine Before Men

I saw a circular tower, made entirely of ancient stones. It rose high into the atmosphere. Suddenly, a light burst forth from the top of it. I heard. “Let your light shine before men.”

After I got out of prayer, I looked up the full scripture.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:14-16, NIV)

Then I went back into prayer. I felt I had missed something. I did not have the full revelation He wanted to give me.

“You aren’t thinking big enough, Heather.”

He then showed me another tower with a light and another until a whole series of towers linked. The towers were like a string of lights with short stonewalls joining each beacon to the next.

“Each light helps to encourage and fuel another and so on. Soon it becomes a boundary line between what is right and true and what is deception and evil. Each person is important in the Kingdom of God and each one I find precious. Never underestimate what your good deed toward another will spark.”

Let your light shine!

I know I need to seek a deeper understanding of this, it’s important I press in to learn more. I feel I’m only on the fringe of understanding the vision, and if I could only receive the full revelation of this, it would embolden me to fulfill all He desires me to do. Not in fear but in a deep accepting that my obedience helps another and we link to form something greater than ourselves under the submission of King Jesus.

Prayer for you and me:

Lord Jesus, You are our strong tower we desire to let our light shine for Your glory. Help us do Your will, not out of duty but in love. Let us serve whom You have blessed us with, with love and the intent to demonstrate Christ’s sacrifice. Embolden our prayers to match those of the elders in heaven. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
