Dismantle Unresolved Issues

Don't be afraid to be dismantled
I saw a wide and deep river flowing steadily with no rapids in sight, but I had an understanding that the rapids were not too far ahead.
Then I saw a bundle of long bamboo rods, bound and stacked in fat bundles. These were dropped into the river, and then more and more were added.
It was obvious that when these bundles reached the rapids ahead, they would hit and break apart, creating a dam.
I asked, “What are we supposed to do?”
“The bundles you see are areas within you that are unresolved. These are memories, conflicting emotions and thoughts, and a host of other unresolved issues. Let me pick them up with you and out we will look at them.”
This sounded good, and I understood that when we removed the bundles, we were pillaging the kingdom of darkness because what the enemy meant for evil with those materials would be used for good.
I asked, “What are my particular bundles?”
“The first one is a drive for productivity used in the wrong areas of your life. This desire for productivity needs to be re-prioritized.”
I knew this to be true because of my strong desire for getting things done and, unfortunately, people-pleasing tendencies.
“The next bundles are the sister bundles of blame and shame.
He showed me that in my blame bundle, I sought to make sense of my circumstances or past hurt, by choosing to blame other people or myself. When I blamed myself, it became shame because of false responsibility for the behavior of others or just life circumstances.
“Daughter, when you get these two bundles surrendered to Me and healed, your real enemy is more than half neutralized. Then you’re ready to receive the return of energy, peace, stamina, and joy, which is exponentially multiplied compared to what you surrendered to Me.”
Then I saw a steel net thrown over it all to try to bind all the bundles together. Its name is confusion.
He helped me to understand that this confusion net was designed to confuse the identity of self, mission, and the identity of the enemy. Our true God-given identity is that we are a child of God. Our mission is to demonstrate and express His love to the people He’s given to us. Our enemy is Satan, not the people or circumstances that appear to block our mission.
***
In fact, often, these circumstances of squeezing and uncomfortableness bring us the people who are most in need of our mission to love them.
We don’t have to wait for the white rapids of extreme life events; we can surrender our issues (productivity, shame, blame, and confusion) to Him now. He will dismantle them.
What if we lived in total freedom without bundles of unresolved issues ready to dismantle and cause a major dam in our lives?
Christ Has Set Us Free
“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (Gal. 5:1, ESV)
What do you need to let the Lord dismantle?
What things are trying to make you a slave to its thinking and short-circuiting your emotions?
Your issues are probably not the same as mine.
Prayer for you and me. Lord, we need your help to dismantle the false beliefs and ideas that we have bundled up in our lives. We desire to live in Your total freedom and the understanding of our identity, mission, and the profound love You pour out on us. Take us deeper into a relationship with You. We trust Your process will help us trust in Jesus’ name. Amen.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36, ESV)
